Responsible Gaming

Before you play anywhere, decide how much you are prepared to lose and stop when it is gone. Everything else on this page builds on that one habit. The eighteen-and-over restriction applies across this site, including the front page. If you are under eighteen, this content is not for you.

Set Your Limits Before the First Bet

Decisions made before you start come from a calm mind. Decisions made mid-session are shaped by wins, losses and adrenaline. Fix the rules early, while you can still judge them clearly.

  • Choose the amount in advance. A number set beforehand is a boundary. A number chosen while playing tends to keep moving.
  • Treat that money as already spent. If you think of it as the price of entertainment, losing it feels expected rather than like something to win back.
  • Never chase a loss. Earlier results do not change the odds of the next bet. Raising stakes to recover usually makes a small loss bigger.
  • Keep gambling out of borrowed money. Credit and loans turn a lost stake into a debt that keeps costing you after the session ends.
  • Take regular breaks. Stepping away lets you check honestly whether you are still enjoying it or just continuing out of momentum.

Arrange Controls Where Your Account Lives

This site is a set of static pages. It has no account, no form and no server-side application. Nothing published here can switch on, check or enforce any control over your play. A deposit cap, loss cap, reality check, cooling-off period or self-exclusion is something you arrange yourself, inside your own account at the destination site.

  • No gambling here. No gambling takes place on this site.
  • No age checks here. Nobody's age is verified on these pages. Any check of that kind happens at the destination.
  • No profiling or targeting. These pages carry no advertising or behavioural profiling network. Nothing here is targeted at a reader who has shown risky behaviour.
  • Destination sites are separate. Following an outbound link opens a separate site. That site receives your request directly and keeps its own record of it.

Bring Someone In Early

When gambling stops feeling like entertainment, tell someone you trust. Do this before it becomes a crisis. Another person can see patterns you may be explaining away, and saying the problem out loud makes it easier to act on.

Every page of this site, this one included, carries links to five independent gambling-help organisations:

  • BeGambleAware
  • Gamble Aware
  • Gambling Therapy
  • G GamCare Gambling Support: Starts Here
  • NCPG

These links appear in the help-links area of this page, as they do on every other page. They are the only non-commercial outbound links on the site, and they differ from the operator links in three ways:

  • They carry no sponsored marking.
  • They are set to nofollow.
  • They open in a separate tab on each organisation's own website.

This site receives nothing when you follow one of them.
